Education/ Study Groups
  • Sunday

Various opportunities are offered during September through May:

Sunday School classes are offered for children from pre-school through 6th grade.

Confirmation classes are offered for those in 7th and 8th grades.

An adult study is also offered. Various books written by religious authors are included in this study oppurtunity.

  • Monday

Every Monday from September through May a Bible Study is held at the Clearwaters Restaurant from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Anyone is welcome to attend. This is a great way to enjoy food for the body and food for the spirit, as we engage the Scriptures.

  • Short term studies

Morning and evening studies on the same content are conducted to accommodate different schedules. Study of the Parables of Jesus, and books such as "The Purpose Driven Life" and "John Wesley for the 21st Century", were among those addressed during the past two years.

Arts/Music

During the school year the Tone Chimes Bell Choir practices on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM. The adult vocal choir meets every Wednesday evenings at 6:45 PM. The Praise Band practices on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 PM. All of these groups participate in the worship services at scheduled times throughout the year.

The Last Supper

Every year during Holy Week members of Wesley, Zion and Port Edwards United Methodist churches work together to put on two performances of the "Last Supper" drama. Monologs, group scenes, lighting, music, special effects, and Holy Communion are included in these performances which are free to the community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Members of the church are invited to volunteer time in community ministries such as Soup or Socks at the First Presbyterian Church, Meals on Wheels, the Good Samaritan Dinner at Immanuel Lutheran, and the Just Friends Annual Dinner.

Outside Groups at Wesley

The local Sweet Adelines Group practices each Monday evening and a TOPS Group conducts their meetings every Thursday morning at Wesley. Call for further information.
